Performance by Design.
Performance Begins with Design.
GRAY's snowboard development begins by envisioning an ideal riding situation.
The outline shape. The sidecut. The camber arc.
Then comes the core profile, engineered down to increments of 1/1000 mm.
We carefully consider the unique characteristics of each material—wood, fiberglass, carbon, metal—and build the construction around them.
In recent years, we have expanded our approach to 3D mold design, treating the snowboard not simply as a two-dimensional shape, but as a three-dimensional structure. However, an exceptional snowboard cannot be created from data and numbers alone. We take the hypotheses born from our designs and put them to the test on snow. Then we return to the drawing board. And repeat.
It is through this continuous PDCA cycle that the distinctive GRAY riding feel is born.
